Home Visits

Doctor's bag

When a patient is too ill to visit the surgery, a home visit may be requested. Patients are asked to telephone before 10.30am, if possible, giving the reason for the visit and the degree of urgency. Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit, therefore visits will only be made for medical reasons. Home Visits cannot be made because of other difficulties or example transport or childcare difficulties.

It is safe to bring children with temperatures to surgery. They will be seen more quickly, and, if infectious, can be accommodated in a separate room
